Situated on the roof of the Technical University of Munich (TU Munich), you will find this awesome rooftop bar and café called Vorhoelzer Forum. The indoor café expands on to a terrace where you get a spectacular 270-degree view of the city skyline and its surroundings. One of the very best rooftop bars in Munich when speaking of top views.
Quite simple in decor with regular benches and some cushions to improve comfort. But then this is not a fancy rooftop bar, but rather a café that comes with a great roof terrace as a bonus.
The menu offers the expected coffee, tea and juice but also beer, cocktails and some really good food. All at very decent prices.
Open from quite early morning to late night, the Vorhoelzer Forum is a great spot for both a breakfast when the sun rises as well as relaxing drinks to a beautiful sunset. Great ambience, cool music and a lot of students in the crowd, which shouldn't be a surprise given the location. But the terrace is open for everyone.
No reservation possible, so on a sunny afternoon you might want to be in good time to catch the best spot.
