Unique restaurant, bar and rooftop at old platform.

The 80-foot REM island started out as a platform on the North Sea, 9 kilometres off the coast of Noordwijk. Since 2011 the platform has been firmly placed on poles in the water of the Nieuwe Houthaven in Amsterdam, and since 2021 it has been home to the REM Restaurant, Bar & Rooftop.

Set over three floors, the venue offers a unique and elevated experience, mixing a stylish interior restaurant and bar with a helipad outdoor terrace. All surrounded with amazing views over the water and the Amsterdam skyline.

At the REM Restaurant you can indulge in gastronomical fine dining with a playful twist, where a diverse food menu is complemented with exciting combinations from cider to wine.

The REM Bar & Rooftop serves a nice selection of fingerfoods, but even more so, a various array of seasonal cocktails, classics, lots of beers and homemade syrup and limoncello.

The comfy lounge sofas on the rooftop terrace are perfect to enjoy on a sunny summer day, but thanks to heaters and good windshields you can actually enjoy the unbeatable views year-round.
