If you want to escape the DC city-life for a while, but not travel to far, head up to the top of The Ven at Embassy Row. Here you find both a sparkling rooftop pool, as well as brightly colored couches and cabanas, perfect for hours of comfy relaxation.

Located right by Dupont Circle, this 9th floor urban getaway offers some lovely views over the Washington skyline.

For daytime leisure by the heated rooftop pool, you either need to be a guest at the hotel, or purchase a daily pool pass at the front desk. After 5pm however, The Rooftop is a summer night al-fresco destination open to all.

The rooftop bar menu includes tropical and refreshing house-made cocktails, as well as tasty bites from the ground-floor restaurant.

The Ven at Embassy Row rooftop is a great spot to make the most of some DC-sunshine, as well as enjoying swanky and vibrant drinks to a spectacular sunset. The terrace is also home to different events, like weekly pool parties, rooftop movies and rooftop yoga.
