During 2019, the rooftop of the retail store John Lewis on Oxford Street turns into 'Roof Fest London'. The roof garden, which goes under the name The Gardening Society, is somewhat of an urban jungle and one of the biggest roof gardens in London. A perfect green oasis above the shopping frenzy.
The 'Roof Fest London' is in swing from 19 April - 29 September 2019, and will include a Filipino-inspired street food menu from BBQ Dreamz, loads of live music, DJs and performances, along with some cosy dens that can be reserved for a truly memorable dinner up on the roof.
Apart from the food, there are also 'Background Bars' offering a nice selection of cocktails, along with wine, beers and soft drinks. So there are plenty of reasons to visit the John Lewis Roof Garden: just for a green and airy break in the shopping, to catch some live music (from DJ sets to acoustic sessions) or to indulge in tasty Filipino street food. And, of course, enjoy the view.
If watching the view is not enough for you, head to the John Lewis rooftop on Tuesday nights. From 23 July - 24 September there will be 'Sunset Cinema', with outdoor screening of feel-good films (like Back To The Future and Mrs Doubtfire). Tickets are £13.50 and can be found here.
