During 2018, the rooftop of the retail store John Lewis on Oxford Street turns into Summer of Sound on the roof. The roof garden, which goes under the name The Gardening Society, is somewhat of an urban jungle and one of the biggest roof gardens in London. A perfect green oasis above the shopping frenzy.
As the name Summer of Sound suggest, this year the entertainment up top will be a lot more than just the panoramic skyline views. A mix of live music, DJ and acoustic sets along with three sounds studios/cabins from Sonos, Ruark Audio and Naim that can be rented for a real cool dining experience, promises that a visit will be like music to your ears.
As for drinks, Fever-Tree will have a Gin and Tonic bar open all summer, serving eight different cocktails, so really a heaven for GT-lovers. There is even a masterclass every Thursday between 6-7pm, whery you can learn to mix your own perfect Gin and Tonic. As for food, Butchies will be serving mostly different types of buttermilk fried chicken sandwiches, along with some salads. So there are plenty of reasons to visit the John Lewis Roof Garden: just for a break in the shopping, to catch some live music or to indulge in all kinds of Gin and Tonic. And, of course, enjoy the view.
