Madame Thippakone Chanthavongsa, Vice Minister in the Prime Minister's Office and spokesperson for the Laos Government, declared the launch of the Lao Green Pass in a press release on March 2, 2022.
Specific visitors can now obtain visas through the Laos Green Pass.
International visitors are not eligible for the Laos Green Pass. Only foreign residents and those of Lao descent living outside Laos are eligible to apply for a visa under the new system.
