Opened in 2018, Cortez is a Mexican-inspired rooftop bar and restaurant in the historical Shaw neighborhood of Washington DC.

Set over several levels, a Baja-focused interior restaurant leads out to the spacious rooftop, divided into lower & upper, and filled with colorful bar stools and charming views over the neighborhood.

At the rooftop you can enjoy the full food menu, filled with delicious tacos, as well as specialty cocktails, margaritas, tequila and Mexican beers.

Visit Cortez during the 5pm to 7pm happy hour every Wednesday to Friday for great deals on food an drinks, or come for the weekend Bottomless Brunch. All served in a fun and relaxing atmosphere.

The Cortez rooftop works on a first come, first served basis, but you can reserve the venue for private events.
