Found at the top of the Spanish Steps, the amazing Rocco Forte Hotel De La Ville does not only come with a prime location, it is also home to an amazing Rome rooftop bar and restaurant.

Named Cielo, the seventh floor rooftop comes equipped with charming and elegant red and white striped umbrellas and lounge furniture, dining tables, lush olive trees, as well as some spectacular views over the Eternal City skyline.

Open daily from lunch to midnight, the rooftop bar offers a seasonal and perfectly crafted selection of signature cocktails, as well as classic, a light lunch menu and small bites. At the restaurant, Chef Fulvio Pierangelini presents a range of seafood featuring the flavours of the Mediterranean, and a gourmet selection of local, seasonal produce including fresh vegetables and farm-reared meat.

During the day, Cielo Terrace is a rooftop oasis away from the chaos of Via Condotti below. At night, the terrace turns more vibrant itself, with beautiful lanterns and live music.

Cielo is Italian for 'sky' or 'heaven', and this truly is a slice of heaven high above Rome. Glamorous and chic, the prices at the rooftop bar are quite steep (€25 for a signature cocktail), but then you get service, atmosphere and a view that is top class. Reservations before visiting are recommended.
