Surreal is a vibrant and cosy downtown Queenstown restaurant, pub and dance lounge. And best of all, also rooftop bar. Not the highest and or most grand rooftop terrace around, but still a great spot to catch some relaxing and sunny cocktails while gazing out over the surrounding mountains.

Open since 1997, Surreal is somewhat a classic in Queenstown and a top spot for both daytime and late night visits. The restaurant serves a tasty, large and affordable, pub-like menu for both lunch and dinner, ranging from classic Fish & Chips and Rump Steak to Tacos and Thai Curry.

With a happy stomach you can move on to the full-service bar where the options of cocktails, wines, beers and spirits are as large as you would expect from any pub.

Friendly and vibrant in atmosphere almost any time of the day, Surreal is a great place daytime and early evening for lounging hours on the rooftop, casual and cosy meals or to catch some sports on the screens inside.

Later at night, the dining tables are shown the door, making room for a large dance floor and live DJs playing house, electro, breaks, live jazz and much more, and keeping the party-vibe going late into the night.
