- 14th floor
- Pop-up restaurants
- Beer garden
- Great atmosphere
Nestled on the 14th floor, above the Italian megastore Eataly, you find this rooftop bar and restaurant called La Birreria. As the name suggest, the setting is like a large beer garden.
The terrace is a bit closed off, so while the view is nice over the close by Flatiron building and the Empire State Building, it is not the best in the city. But instead there is a great atmosphere to make up for it.
There is an exiting concept with new pop-up restaurants at the rooftop every now and then, however always with an Italian base. The 2020 season will see the roof turn into Serra, an Italian countryside restaurant, available also during the colder months as Serra Alpina.
A "greenhouse" feeling with lots of plants and rustic chairs, where you can enjoy down to earth Italian dishes. And a large set of drinks, like biodynamic wines from Italy and New York, craft beers, housemade botanic-infused cocktails (including Negroni popsicle), as well as different lemonades from the Limonata Stand.
Open for both lunch and dinner, the Birreria is one of the best NYC rooftop bars for a full meal, enojoying the vibrant atmosphere. Popular place, so for eating reservations are highly recommended.
Otherwise you can just drop by at the bar and botanise in the large selections of beers (and other drinks) and watch all the people and all the commotion. The La Birreria New York dress code is casual, so no need to dress extra fancy to blend in here.
