The Red Hummingbird is a classic rooftop bar in Melbourne, actually one of the first to open up here. And still going strong! Located in the heart of the city, this cocktail bar is a perfect Melbourne rooftop bar here, to visit for unpretentious vibes and fantastic drinks.

A bit of a hidden oasis, The Red Hummingbird comes with a cosy and stylish indoor lounge and a rooftop patio that is somewhere in between urban and elegant. Rustic, with lots of wooden details and steel bar stools, but also chic with swing chairs and ample heaters. And while the view might not be the best in town, you still get cool vistas amid the city's skyscrapers.

The very best part about this rooftop is however the cocktails. Made to perfection by the friendly and skilled barmen, where the 'Red Hummingbird Signature' with sloe gin, chamboard, lemon juice, pineapple juice & fresh strawberries is a must try. There is also a good selection of beer on bootle and tap, along with a few Asian-inspired bar bites like Goyza's and Dumplings.

Visit during the afternoon / early night for really relaxing cocktails and nice deals on drinks. Later at night, especially during weekends, the tempo and vibe is higher, usually with a live DJ and quite alot of people enjoying the Melbourne night.
