Goldilocks Rooftop Bar is not that easy to find, but well worth the search. Located on the 4th floor above a Chinese diner on Swanston Street in the heart of Melbourne, the fairytale that the name promises comes true in both setting and cocktails.

Starting with painted trees on the walls at the stairs up, you walk into a quite small and intimate rooftop bar with a plastic lawn, part open air and part wooden hut and a very nice view over the Melbourne skyline. There is also heaters for the days the Melbourne weather cannot be trusted.

The rooftop bar offers fantastic and inventive cocktails, both experimental classics and Goldilock signatures. There is also a good range of crafted beers, a few wines and locally produced sodas, along with Asian bites of dumplings and noodles.

All in all, Goldilocks is a cool and lovely walk ups only Melbourne rooftop bar, great for relaxing and intimate drinks with a couple of friends.
