Classic venue with fantastic views over Jamaa El Fna square.
Hotel Restaurant Café de France is a classic spot, located right on Jamaa El Fna square. Opened in 1912 it is one of the oldest and most famous cafes in Marrakech, and it is still a very popular spot, both among tourists and locals.
Mainly beacuse of the three large rooftop terraces found here, where you get fantastic views over both the happening square and onwards, towards the Atlas Mountains.
More basic and classic then fancy and stylish, the rooftop bar, café and restaurant serves a wide range of dishes and drinks. With a motto of 'simplicity and tradition', most of the plates are traditional Moroccan, complemented with everything from coffee and ice cream to beer and cocktails.
Open from breakfast to late dinner, Café de France rooftop bar is always a great choice for a pit-stop in a day of Marrakech sightseeing. Extra great if you manage to pin point a sunset, which is magical from here.
