Overview

Historical & beautiful venue, offering Asian fusion flavors and sparkling city views.

Tucked away above the Hollywood Hills, Yamashiro translates to 'mountain palace' in Japanese, which is truly a literal description of this historic and beautiful hilltop mansion, first built in 1914.

Nowadays, the venue holds an Asian fusion restaurant, bar and event venue, widely regarded as one of the most unique in all of LA. Among lush greenery, Japanese-inspired decor, and antique artifacts, here you are surrounded with sparkling and amazing views over LA. From the Griffith Observatory to the Pacific Ocean.

In this special setting, you can indulge in Japanese cuisine with a Californian touch, created by Executive Chef Jaehee Lee, blending tradition with modern flair. The menu features everything from noodles and sashimi favorites, to steaks, seafood, signature rolls and sushi boats.

Drink-wise, the main attraction is the modern, Japanese-inspired and extensive cocktail program, featuring artisanal sakes and handcrafted cocktails.

Open nightly for dinner and drinks, and on Sundays also for brunch, Yamashiro Hollywood is a real LA icon not to be missed. Enjoy the flavors, the views and the celeb-vibes, and remember to take a stroll in the spacious garden courtyard and watch the koi fish swim.
