Set in a historic building between the River Market and Power & Light district, John’s Big Deck offers three floors of food, drinks and fun, all in a laid-back and colorful atmosphere.

On the first floor you find an indoor grill restaurant and sports bar, and on the second a weekend dance club. On top is the true gem, the John’s Big Deck rooftop terrace, offering a beautiful view of downtown Kansas City.

The wooden decked terrace comes with colorful seating and comfy lighting, and is somewhat a historic venue, going strong since 1983. Here you can enjoy classic American pub food, like burger, taco and pizza, as well as signature cocktails and an impressive beer menu.

The indoor part of John’s Big Deck offers live acoustic shows and DJs pretty much all nights year-round, and during the summer months the entertainment also moves to the top floor. A perfect Kansas City rooftop to start a fun night, or to end it, as the terrace is open to 3am every night.
