La Moneda Cubana

Located at the entrance of the Plaza of the Havana Cathedral, up a couple of pretty narrow stairs, you find La Moneda Cubana. A genuine paladar (Cuban restaurant) that comes with a rather small, but lovely and charming rooftop terrace.

From here you can enjoy great views over the Old Havana rooftops and La Cabana across the bay.

Decorated in a quite simple, old-school kind of way, the terrace has seating both out in the sun and covered under umbrellas. Here you can enjoy authentic Cuban food, especially a lot of seafood, or cool of with a refreshing Cuba Libre.

Open for both lunch and dinner, the atmosphere at La Moneda Cubana is always fun and friendly, usually highlighted by some live salsa music.

No reservations are needed, so just head upstairs and enjoy a true Cuban lunch or dinner with a view. Oh, and then there is the 'secret' unique selling point of La Moneda Cubana: it is supposed to be Beyoncé's favourite restaurant in Havana...
