On top of the Steirerhof shopping mall on Jakominiplatz you find Area 5, a spacious and modern rooftop bar and restaurant, surrounded with amazing views over Graz.

Part indoor lounge and part garden-style open-air terrace, Area 5 is open from morning to late at night, offering a large selection of drinks and food with a view.

Part of the Bausatz restaurants (you find 13 of them in Graz), the food and drink-setup is pretty unique, where you get a set of cards and tick the boxes for what you want. Pizza, pasta, burger or Pfandl, large or small, with olives, mozzarealla or salami? Bacardi, Gin or Malibu, with Ginger Ale, Soda or Tonic? The options are pretty much endless.

While this might sound a bit to whimsical to be really good, the reviews about the Area 5 food are actually very positive. And since prices on food and drinks are more than decent, it is no surprise that this is a highly popular rooftop, especially among the younger crowd.
