Located just a short walk from the central station, the stylish and impressive Scandic Göteborg Central opened its doors early summer 2022. Alongside 451 modern rooms, the hotel also brings a sparkling new addition to the Gothenburg rooftop scene.

Called Above, the 14th floor rooftop bar is not only the highest in Gothenburg, it's also the largest. Up here you find a sleek interior lounge, leading out to a lush and spacious terrace, that is partly covered under a pergola and partly open-air. But most of all, it's surrounded with amazing panoramic views over the river, Old Town, the Port of Gothenburg, and the ‘Lipstick’-building.

Inspired by Miami and a hint of the Caribbean, which is reflected in both interior design and the food and drink offerings, Above serves a playful menu filled with attitude and flavors. From creative cocktails and mocktails, to modern bites made perfect to share. Like 'The Don Johnson Shrimp Spread', offering a new twist on the classic shrimp sandwich.

Surrounded by great music and a vibrant beat, Above rooftop bar is open to hotel, bar and dinner guests from afternoon to late night. And as part of the terrace is weather-protected, the view and the pulsating atmosphere is available all year round.

Reservations are possible for a lovely dinner at the Above restaurant inside, but cocktails and river views on the outside rooftop terrace are on a first come, first served basis.
