City Lights Rooftop, opened in 2016, is one of the few rooftop bars in Charlotte with a complete 360-degree view over the Queen City skyline.
The terrace is perched on the 18th floor of the five star Le Meredien Charlotte Hotel, and can boost stellar city views from one of the highest rooftops in the city. It is also the largest rooftop around and the perfect spot to get a new perspective on the city.
The rooftop bar serves crafted and refreshing signature cocktails, like the 'Sparkle & Pop' (prosecco/sparkling rosé + popsicle), along with a good selection of beers, both classic Americans and local ones from North Carolina.
To go with the drinks there is a menu of street food inspired, shareable plates.
The large and very open-air terrace is modern in decoration with a mix of lounge chairs, bar stools by the edge and some greenery. It looks extra cool at night when the LED-equipped furniture light up.
Here you can enjoy a fun and vibrant atmosphere with a trendy crowd and weekly live music and nightly live DJs.
This is probably the best rooftop bar in Charlotte, and a place well worth a visit. Just remember that the terrace has a first come, first served basis (if not a party of 10 or more) and that the City Lights Rooftop dress code is smart casual.Last updated: March 4, 2020
