Perched on top of the beautiful and exceptional Matild Palace, close to the Elisabeth Bridge, The Duchess offers a world of decadent luxury, high above the rooftops of Budapest.

Following the key logo and a secret corridor on the top floor of the hotel, you find an absolutely fantastic cocktail bar, wrapped in luxury both inside and out. A lounge filled with velvet, gold, green and accessories, leads out to much more bright and airy terrace, where the top decoration are the amazing views over Elisabeth Bridge, the Danube River, the Gellért Hill and what feels like all of Budapest.

Taking inspiration from the Palace’s founder, Her Imperial and Royal Highness Maria Klotild, who asked for a glamorous rooftop hideaway as a rendezvous for the Decadence Movement, The Duchess is truly a venue to experience the most elevated version of Budapest.

From the rooftop bar you can choose between an extensive collection the finest liquors and exceptional wines, but even more so, some fantastic and unique cocktails. A top pick is the 'Duchess Sour', a creative twist on the New York Sour.
