Perched on top of the Hotel President, Intermezzo Restaurant & Roof Terrace offers an amazing 360-view over Budapest, but the real treat are the close-up views over the beautiful Hungarian National Treasury building.
Serving as an open-air rooftop extension of the ground floor Intermezzo Restaurant during summer, the terrace is also available during the colder months, when rooftop igloos and (sometimes) an ice skating rink are the main attractions. But it is mostly a venue for long days of sunshine, or long nights with amazing sunsets.
Quite simple in decoration, with dining tables and a few lounge spots, it is the view that really makes Intermezzo shine.
Up here you can enjoy a nice selection of cocktails and wines, along with barbecue-like dishes and vegetarian options. Usually served in a relaxed atmosphere, perfect to match with a beautiful sunset, but sometimes also spiced up with DJ sets and rooftop party's.
If you want to grab a few drinks and enjoy the view, you can usually just head up to the terrace. But if you plan to eat, booking a table in advance is the best option.
