Overview
Perched on top of the Colón Building, the very first building in Barcelona to rise above 100 meters, you find a tapas restaurant and bar called Baroz. Changing name and style during 2019 (it used to be Marea Baja), the bar is an addition to the more famous sister restaurant Marea Alta, located one floor above.
While Marea Alta is a great fine-dining sky restaurant, it is set indoors, so for more laid-back and al-fresco vibes you should head to the Baroz rooftop bar.
Very stylish lounge in decoration, it comes with both indoor seating and comfy lounge spots out on the open air terrace. Being 23 floors up, this is about as high as you can get at a rooftop bar in Barcelona, and the panoramic 360º views of Barcelona and the ocean are breathtaking.
The full name is Baroz Arroceria con Vistas, and from the rooftop bar you can order a tasty selection of tapas, like marinated mussels, tartars and paellas.
As for drinks you find wine and cava served in glass or by the bottle, a nice selection of Sangria (or lemonade for the younger ones), as well as ice-cold beers. All served at very decent prices.
Enjoy a sophisticated and relaxed ambience at this somewhat hidden gem, with amazing views over Barcelona.
