Perched on top of the excellent Volkshotel in Amsterdam East, Canvas rooftop bar and restaurant offers food, drinks, vibes and grand views from early morning to late at night.

Set seven floors above street level, Canvas holds both a retro-chic indoor dining room and bar, as well as a lovely outdoor terrace, serving panoramic views over the Amstel River and the city center.

Have a seat at one of the wooden picknick tables and enjoy some beers or refreshing cocktails. Maybe add something from the large rooftop food menu, ranging from shareable snacks to more filling and local inspired dishes.

Pretty much always vibrant in atmosphere, and a great spot for causal lunch and dinners with friends, the rooftop turns extra hot during weekend nights. That is when Club Canvas opens up for good times and drinks until the very late hours. Summer usually also means plenty of events, like rooftop cinema under the Amsterdam sky.

Reservations are possible for the indoor restaurant, but the outdoor terrace is first come, first served. And since Canvas is a popular spot, being in good time is highly recommended.
