Terrazza Triennale – or Osteria con Vista, as it’s also called - is a posh yet relaxed rooftop restaurant with grand views over the city park Parco Sempione and the Milan skyline. It’s advisable to book your table in advance as this is a super popular place. Both during summer and winter. There are both indoor and outdoor seating available.
The food up here is superb. Well cooked and presented in a fantastic way. I would call it Italian fine dining but still with that genuine flavors that you’ll get from the small neighborhood restaurants. You can choose from classic antipasti (starters), primi (pasta), secondi (meat and fish) and dolce (dessert). For lunch it was optimal with two courses and a couple of glasses of wine. You can find the full menu here:
We tried a truffle starter and two pastas. One ravioli which was AMAZING and one Cacio e Pepe which was ok. And to top it off, some delicious desserts. They were almost as big as the main courses. For drinks we went all in on the wine. There’s a big wine list available where they also have some really good wines on glass. We tried both some red and white ones. And we were delighted with how they tasted.
The view is quite unusual for being in the center of Milan. From here you can see till whole Parco Sempione and also the skyscrapers further away. It creates a feeling of being in Central Park, NYC. Very similar to be on top of The MET in NYC. During the warmer and sunnier days, make sure to book a table on the outside terrace as those are best for the view. In wintertime the terrace is open when the weather allows. We were lucky enough to time one of those beautiful winter days.
The décor is luxurious and minimalistic. People up here are well dressed and sophisticated. Business lunches and family lunches during the weekends are very popular.
Probably one of the best rooftops for a lunch in Milan. The service up here is very good. There are a lot of waiters and very good sommelier’s that can help you with wine pairing etc. We recommend Osteria con Vista to everyone going to Milan.
