Gale South Beach have one of the best rooftop swimming pools in Miami. The view might not be the best in town, but the atmosphere and day beds makes this place a very nice spot to hangout at during daytime. Bare in mind that you must be a guest at the hotel, to be able to get access to the rooftop.
The roof terrace at Gale South Beach is open from early morning until late evening. If you’re an early bird, you’ll have the whole terrace for yourself for a couple of hours. And that’s exactly what we did.
When the sun started to rise at 7:00 AM we headed up to the terrace to enjoy the luxury of having the whole place for ourselves.
There’s a big and luxurious day bed available by the edge of the terrace with ocean views over the Atlantic Ocean. If that one is occupied, you can choose to relax in sofas, smaller day beds or just some regular but comfy sun loungers. All seats are super comfortable, and you’ll get towels and slippers from the staff.
The best thing up here though, is the big and heated rooftop swimming pool. It really adds that little extra to the whole roof terrace. Both in regards of the feeling and luxuriousness. As mentioned before, the rooftop pool is only available for the guests of the hotel.
Unfortunately, we didn’t try that much for the menu. But for lunch we decided to buy some pizza and soft drinks. The pizzas tasted good. Typical American pizzas with a nice crust and with lots of cheese and pepperoni.
The best thing was that you could eat the pizza in the day bed while gazing out over South Beach and the surrounding buildings.
The atmosphere at Gale South Beach is very calm and harmonies if you compare to many other places close by. South Beach is most famous for its lively nightlife. But despite being located on a busy street, the rooftop feels more like a relaxed pool area than a place where people gather to drink.
During the afternoon there’s more people on the terrace but, there’s almost always a sun lounger or a sofa available to relax in.
The hotel is very modern, fresh and with a luxurious touch. Everything felt very up to date and new. The regular rooms are quite small, but still with big bath rooms and with views of the city in some cases. Always ask for a room with a view on a high floor.
On the first floor there’s an Italian restaurant/café where they serve a superb breakfast with real Italian coffee. The restaurant is open all day long and you can also eat your lunch and dinner here. If you have a car, there’s a valet parking for around $40 per day.
The fact that we love a good rooftop pool, makes our thoughts about Gale South Beach very positive and easy to summit. We loved it! The luxurious and comfortable seating’s in the relaxed atmosphere with views of South Beach makes this one of the best hotels for this matter.
Ok, there are for sure more luxurious hotels here, but the mix of luxury, harmony and freshness makes this hotel a favorite for us.
