If you like to hang out in the center of Manhattan close to Times Square, AC Hotel New York Times Square and Castell rooftop bar are two great spots. Both the hotel and rooftop bar are located right at Times Square. Perfect if you’re a first-time visitor in NYC or just like the city buzz.
One thing we love about rooftop bars in New York is the hear the city buzz and police sirens from the streets below. And Castell Rooftop Bar is a perfect venue for this. When stepping out on the terrace you’ll feel the lovely atmosphere directly. A feeling of being in the center of the world.
The terrace looks like a large balcony perched right among the skyscrapers on the 21st floor. It’s beautiful. And with the lush décor and comfy sofas by the edge of the terrace, this is a perfect rooftop bar to grab some cocktails and bar bites at. Works great both for some afternoon cocktails or a pre party drinks.
Castell Rooftop Bar is famous for it’s great Martini’s. And we can vouch for that. I ordered a classic Martini and it was superb. Also, extra plus for the tasty bar bites. You can choose between classics like sliders (small burgers), skewers, lobster roll and much more. Def worth a try.
The warm and attentive service is noticeable even before stepping into the lobby. From the moment we stepped out of the taxi, we got help with the bags and was led to the check in counter. What a great first impression! Checking in was smooth and we got a room on the 17th floor right away. Always ask for a room on a high floor when checking in.
The rooms felt and looked like classic hotel rooms at a 4-star hotel. The bathrooms felt modern and fresh. Also, extra plus for the city view. Otherwise everything felt as we had expected.
Both AC Hotel New York Times Square and Castell Rooftop Bar are great if you like to spend time in Midtown Manhattan. The central location and closeness to everything is great. If it’s your first time in New York, we would recommend this hotel and rooftop to everyone, as it feels like you’re right in the city buzz and center of the world here.
